All teachers are specially trained by Yoon Sen Lee with his methods and philosophy of teaching developed and used for nearly 40 years of his music career. Such training provided guarantee success in every student’s learning.

Lisa Yang
Lisa was born in Perth, Western Australia. She first started learning grade two piano with Yoon Sen Lee Music School in 2012 under Yoon Sen Lee. By 2013, she achieved grade 8 with Honours. In the following year, Lisa went on to obtain her Associate diploma with the Trinity College of London (ATCL) and Associate diploma with the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMusA). In 2015 she obtained her grade 5 Music Theory certificate with Honours.
Aside from winning local competitions, in 2014 Lisa was also the third place winner of the American Protégé International Piano and Strings competition and was invited to perform at Carnegie hall in New York.
In 2015, Lisa started teaching for Yoon Sen Lee Music School. Her students comprise of all musical backgrounds and ages. She aims to inspire all her students during her teachings and encourages each and every one of them to achieve their full potential.
Currently, Lisa is studying Medical Sciences at the University of Western Australia and will be pursuing Medicine as her postgraduate degree. Lisa still wishes to be involved in music and piano teaching and will be continuing to do so alongside her studies.

Born in West Australia, Shuan Hern Lee started piano lessons at 2 and a half with his dad, Yoon Sen Lee. At the age of 14, Shuan Hern has been accepted as a tertiary music student at the University of Western Australia. Shuan Hern is also a student of International Piano Academy Incontri Col Maestro of Imola, Italy and is currently studying with Yoon Sen Lee and Ingrid Fliter.
Shuan Hern has won many top and Laureate prizes at piano competitions including Chopin In- ternational Piano Competition in Hartford Connecticut, USA; Astana Piano Passion, Kazakhstan; Sberbank Debut International Piano Competition, Ukraine; Young Pianist of the North International Piano Competition in UK; San Marino International Piano Competition; International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians in Novosibirsk, Russia; International Piano Competition for Young Musicians in Enschede, The Netherlands; International Junior E-Piano Competition in Min- nesota, USA; Schumann International Piano Competition in Dusseldorf, Germany; Global Youth Pianists Competition in Shenzhen, China; Krainev International Piano Competition in Moscow, 44th International Piano Competition, Palma D’oro in Finale Ligure, Italy and Rome International Piano Competition (Chopin Prize) in Italy.
Shuan Hern has performed with Kazakhstan Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Symphonic Or- chestra of Ukraine, the State Symphony Orchestra “Novaya Rossiya” of Moscow, West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Minnesota Symphony Orchestra, Armenia State Philharmonic Orchestra, Armenia State Chamber Orchestra, Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra, National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, Imola Chamber Orchestra, Fremantle Symphony Orchestra, Perth Symphony Orchestra and the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra of Perth.
Shuan Hern obtained the diploma of the Associate of the Trinity College of London at the age of 9 and Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and Licentiate of Music of Australia with Distinction in Piano Performance at the age of 10. At 14, he obtained the Fellowship of Music of Australia diploma which is the highest honor and also the youngest candidate ever to achieve this diploma in piano performance of the Australian Music Examinations Board.
Shuan Hern enjoys teaching at Yoon Sen Lee Music School and throughout the past years, his students have won various local and international piano competitions and have excelled at exams too.
Stephanie Huang
Stephanie Huang was born in Taiwan and came to Australia at the age of 6. She started learning piano after she arrived in Australia and learned under two different teachers before changing over to Yoon Sen Lee at the age of 10. She has entered and won in various piano competitions locally whilst learning under the tutelage of Yoon sen. She finished her grade 8 then went onto finishing her Amus diploma at the age of 16.
Stephanie also learned violin as her second instrument. She started violin in year 3 when she was offered the instrument in churchlands primary. She then changed teachers to Hooi Tong Lee in year 6 and applied and received a music scholarship to Churchlands High School. She was in the school orchestra and choir and went on the England music tour in year 12.
Stephanie has always loved kids and has always wanted to be a teacher. At the same time, she really loved her music and wanted to continue with her music studies as her career. She then applied and was offered her first preference to study Music Education at the University of Western Australia. She went to finish her degree and received her bachelor of music education in 2007.
After receiving her bachelor degree, Stephanie spent her first 3 years teaching at school as a music specialist for years 1-10. After a year of teaching, in 2009, she came under Yoon Sen Lee Music school and started teaching piano part-time. She loved teaching piano more than schools, so gave up teaching in schools and decided to teach piano full time under Yoon Sen Lee Music School and has been ever since.
Stephanie has taught students as young as 4 and a half, and her own daughter at the age of 3. She teaches beginner grade through to grade 8 and diploma level. Her students have achieved excellent results in exams, competitions, and received music scholarships to different private schools. She is very passionate about music and her teaching and always does her best to help her students learn and achieve as much as they can throughout their musical journey. 」
Ivy Chan
Ivy Chan was a student of Yoon Sen Lee for many years. She enjoys piano performance and especially passionate about piano teaching. Ivy specialises with students of younger age group and her students have won many music scholarships into private schools and top prizes at local and international piano competitions. Ivy has been teaching the piano for nearly 10 years and her students have obtained top results at the AMEB piano exams, ranging from lower grades up till grade 8.
Mike Li
Mike started learning piano at age 4 and was the youngest winner of the famous Xing Hai Piano Cup in Guangzhou China.
Under the tutelage of Mr Yoon Sen Lee since 2013, Mike has made tremendous progress on his music journey and has been a continuous winner of many local music competition events, including Fremantle Eisteddfod, South Suburban Music Society Eisteddfod, North of Perth Music Festival, West Australian Music Teachers’ Association (WAMTA) and the West Australian Pianists Competition (WAPC)
In 2015, Mike obtained his ATCL Diploma with Distinction in Music Performance from Trinity College London, and has also been teaching at Yoon Sen Lee Music School.

Sophie Lin
Sophie Lin was born in Perth, Western Australia. She began piano lessons at the age of 5, transferring to Yoon Sen Lee Music School at the age of 6 where she won her first competition just months later, at the Joondalup Eisteddfod. Under Yoon Sen Lee’s tutelage, Sophie was provided with outstanding musical education with all aspects including aural, theory and composition. Sophie completed her Grade 8 AMEB exam at the age of 11 and went on to complete her Associate Diploma from the Trinity College of London (ATCL) a year later at the age of 12. At the same time, she won silver in the American Association of the Development of the Gifted and Talented international competition (AADGT) and was invited to perform in Carnegie Hall in New York. She is a music and academic scholarship holder at St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls, and played trombone, percussion and guitar in the school ensembles and orchestras. She went on to achieve her Licentiate Diploma (LTCL) in 2015. She has won prizes at many competitions including the South Suburban Eisteddfod, Western Australian Piano Competition, Fremantle Eisteddfod, Kwinana Eisteddfod, Joondalup Eisteddfod and also Cockburn Eisteddfod. In 2017, she graduated from St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls and is aspiring to study medicine at the University of Western Australia. She chose to study music as an ATAR subject in Year 12, and has topped the class every year since year 7 in music. She has also been awarded an Winthrop Scholarship at UWA, and commences her studies next year.
Nancy Yao
Nancy Yao began piano at the age of 5 and came under the tutelage of Yoon Sen Lee in 2008. She has won various local competitions as well as had the opportunity to perform in Carnegie Hall after winning the AADGT Passion of Music International Competition. Nancy completed her Licentiate of the Trinity College of London at the age of 15. Apart from performing, Nancy also enjoys playing volleyball, cooking, travelling and teaching piano which she has been doing since 2015 and has a passion for animals, especially dogs.
She is currently doing a double major in Medical Sciences and Music
Diana Goh
Diana is an educator and has been teaching for 7 years. She is passionate about the role of music in early childhood and strategies in optimizing a child’s learning outcome. She has double master’s degrees in education and administration and is the mother of 2 boys
Lydia Dutton
Lydia began learning piano at the age of 6 at her primary school. She joined Yoon Sen Lee Music School at the age of 8 under the tutelage of Allan Hon. At the age of 10, she won the Bayswater Council Music Scholarship. The next year she came third in the AADGT piano competition where she was invited to perform in the USA. In the same year, she also won two music scholarships to Penrhos and Methodist Ladies’ College.
In 2015, Lydia moved to learn piano the tutelage of Mr. Lee. In 2016, she won First Prize in the London Grand Virtuoso Pianist Competition where she was invited to perform in the Royal Albert Hall in London. In the same year, she completed her Associate Diploma from the Trinity College London (ATCL) and Associate Diploma by Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB). Over the years, Lydia has competed and won many prizes in local competition such as the South Suburban Eisteddfod, Western Australia Pianist Competition, Fremantle Eisteddfod, Western Australian Music Teacher Association and the North of Perth Music Festival.

Tina Algeri
Tina Algeri was born in Perth, Western Australia and is 17 years of age. She is currently under the tutelage of Mr Yoon Sen Lee. Tina started her musical journey at the age of 5, under the umbrella of Mrs Ivy Chan and Stephanie Huang through Yoon Sen Lee Music School in Perth, Western Australia.
Tina has entered various local and international competitions. Some of her first prizes in local competitions include the Open Championship section from North of Perth music festival, the Under 17 Concerto section, the Under 15 classical section and the Under 15 romantic section from the South Suburban Music Society, the Under 15 Romantic and Recital section in Fremantle Eisteddfod, the Under 15 recital section, Under 18 recital section, Under 18 Piano Concerto Section in the Western Australian Pianist Competition. She also won the Senior Overall Pianist Award in the Western Australian Pianist Competition
In 2016, Tina won first prize in the Golden Key International Music Festival as well as second prize in the American Protégé and performed at Carnegie Hall, New York. During that year, Tina also obtained a music scholarship from St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School.
In 2017, Tina also performed in front of the Governor General in Canberra, Australia. In 2018, Tina entered the 6th Global International Piano Competition held in Shenzhen, China. Tina was invited to compete in Shenzhen in which she won first prize in her age category and was also one of the top 8 honoured pianists who were awarded with a contract giving them the opportunity to perform concerto works with many orchestras or as a soloist building up to the future.
In 2019, Tina won the first prize in the Concours international de piano “Ville de Gagny” competition in Gagny, France. While she was in France, she also completed her Diploma of International Conservatory of Music of Paris in which she received high distinction.
She also performed with the Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra at Qintai Hall, in Wuhan, China in 2019.
Tina participates in many choirs, bands and orchestras within her school and has also achieved Honours A in both her Grade 7 AMEB, and grade 8 AMEB music exam. Tina obtained her AMEB AmusA Diploma exam with distinction in 2019 as well as her AMEB LmusA Diploma exam in 2020. She also received a High Distinction for her Licentiate of Trinity College London Exam.
Tina will be travelling to Brisbane next year to perform with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra for the final round of the Young Lev Vlassenko National Competition.
Tina has been awarded a scholarship program to have early matriculation for undergraduate part time music studies at the University of Western Australia.
Jasmine Farghaly
Jasmine was born in Perth, Western Australia. She started learning piano in 2010 at the age of 7 at Yoon Sen Lee Music School. She was first under the tutelage of Mrs Ivy Chan and soon after came under the teaching of Mr Yoon Sen Lee. By 2013, she achieved a High Distinction in her Grade 6 exam. Jasmine also learned violin from 2007 to 2016. In 2013, she received a scholarship to learn double bass. In 2015, she was awarded a music scholarship at Penrhos College for piano. She participated in many choirs, orchestras, bands and productions at school. She was also the Penrhos Junior School Music captain in 2014, and in secondary school, she won the Penrhos Music Eisteddfod multiple times.
Aside from winning many prizes at local competitions, in 2014 Jasmine won the gold medal at the International Young Gifted Musicians Festival "Passion of Music 2014" in New York, a second prize at the American Protege International Piano and Strings Competition in New York and a second and third prize at the Golden Key Music Festival in New York, performing at Carnegie Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Centre. In the same year, she performed in Vienna and was featured in the West Australian newspaper.
In 2015, 2017 and 2020 she won gold medals at the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition and performed in Paris and Salzburg. In 2020, she was invited to perform at the Beethoven House in Germany in celebration of Beethoven’s 250th Birthday. Jasmine also received her Certificate of Performance in 2015 and completed her Grade 6 Musicianship exam in 2019.
In 2017 at age 14, Jasmine obtained her ATCL Diploma in Music Performance from Trinity College London and in 2019 at age 16 she obtained her LTCL Diploma in Music Performance with Distinction from Trinity College London.
Jasmine graduated in 2020 and now plans to study Psychology at the University of Western Australia and will be pursuing a career as a clinical psychologist. She really enjoys piano performance and the study of music and will continue to do so throughout her years at the university.
Vevina Yang
Vevina Yang was born in Perth, Western Australia. She began learning the piano at the age of 4 and joined the Yoon Sen Lee Music School at the age of 6 taught by Stephanie Huang. She was transferred to the tutelage of Mr Yoon Sen Lee in the following year. Vevina is currently an All Saints College student who advanced the Year 12 Western Art Music ATAR, completing it in Year 11. She was awarded the Year 12 ATAR Western Art Music Course Prize in All Saints College and also achieved 100 percent in her Year 12 Western Art Music ATAR (practical component). She has obtained multiple diplomas in the piano including Licentiate Trinity College London (LTCL), Associate Trinity College London (ATCL) with Distinction and an Associate Diploma in AMEB (AMusA). She has also completed her Grade 5 AMEB Musicianship with Distinction and the Grade 6 AMEB Musicianship with Credit.
At the age of 10, Vevina completed her first piano exam, obtaining a High Distinction in her Grade 8 AMEB exam. She has won international competitions such as a Gold Medal at the American Association for Development of the Gifted and Talented International Young Gifted Musicians Festival (AADGT), Gold Medal at the Golden Key International Music Festival and a Silver Medal in the American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music at the age of 10. She was invited to perform twice in Carnegie Hall, New York. A year later, Vevina obtained three Music and Academic scholarship in All Saints College, Methodist Ladies College and Presbyterian Ladies College.
Vevina has competed in many local competitions since the age of 5 including Fremantle Eisteddfod, South Suburban Eisteddfod, Joondalup Eisteddfod, Cockburn Eisteddfod, North of Perth Music Festival, Western Australian Pianist Competition (WAPC) and Western Australia Music Teacher Association (WAMTA). She also won many awards such as winning First Prize in the Open Piano Recital Championship in Fremantle Eisteddfod, the Overall Best of a Classical Sonata Award in the West Australian Pianist Competition (WAPC), Best Performance of Beethoven work in Piano Recitals Winner in Fremantle Eisteddfod (Dawn Baldwin Award), For the Most Outstanding Instrumentalist Award in Fremantle Eisteddfod (violin) AMEB Perpetual Trophy, the Best Performance of Bartok Solo (violin) Julie L. Howe Trophy in Fremantle Eisteddfod.
Vevina also has an interest on the violin. She achieved her Grade 8 AMEB exam with Honours, within 4 years of learning it. This allowed her to be further exposed in other forms of classical music such as performing in ensembles, orchestras including the Western Australian Youth Orchestra (WAYO) in 2019 and accompanying other instrumentalists. She is currently working towards her AMusA Diploma for the violin. Vevina also joined the Bridge Junior Choir and won 1st Place in Fremantle Eisteddfod in 2012, competed in the Vocal Ensemble Recital section, conducted by Mr Yoon Sen Lee.
