Alice Sun

Alice began learning piano at the age of nine and has since developed a deep passion for both piano performance and music education. Over the years, she has continued to refine her musicianship and has successfully completed her Associate Diploma (ATCL) in Piano Performance with Trinity College London. Throughout her musical journey, she has also received awards in local piano competitions as well as school music awards, including the 2020 MLC Music Award, presented to the top-performing student in the music class. From a young age, she has had regular performance opportunities, including annual music school concerts, high school assemblies, and choir accompaniment, as well as concerto performance and Trinity College London performance held at Perth Town Hall under the tutelage of Shuan Hern Lee.

Since 2022, Alice has been actively teaching piano and has worked with students across a wide range of ages and levels, from young beginners as early as four and a half years old through to senior high school students. She has extensive experience preparing students for AMEB examinations, performance certificates such as the Certificate of Performance, as well as school performances and local piano competitions. She also has experience teaching AMEB Music Theory up to Grade 4, supporting students in building strong foundations in both practical performance and theoretical understanding.

Alongside her work as a piano teacher for the Yoon Sen Lee Music School, Alice also has experience in academic tutoring. During high school, she received Academic Excellence Awards at MLC, awarded to students performing within the top 10% of the cohort, as well as other subject-specific academic competition awards. She is currently completing her Master of Biomedical Science (Neuroscience) at the University of Western Australia.
