Can you learn from group lessons?
The combined class(Grade 1) of Master Teacher Mr Lee Yoon Sen on 8th of April had 30 children of 4 years old to 6 years old in a single room for 90minutes. It was loads of fun, performance, humor and laughter to keep the children engaged. But its not just fun and laughter, there are lessons delivered through age appropriate activities, such as competition between boys and girls, asking questions and giving rewards for right answer. The children are given personal attentions at the right moment and demonstration of skillful playing to engage their young minds.
I see children sparkle when they remember their music notes, when they can play a piece with right dynamics to exhibit the feeling of the music. They are joyful when they can critique a music piece with their most innocent observation. Most importantly, they are having fun together enjoying music playing.
