Jason Yuen

10 year-old Jason YUEN Joined Yoon Sen Lee Music School in 2018 at age of 7 under the tutelage of Lawrence Ng and Yoon Sen Lee. He received prizes in various music festivals and competitions, including Fremantle Eisteddfod, North of Perth Music Festival, West Australian Pianist Competition, South Suburban Music Society Eisteddfod. In 2020 Jason won first prize in the Golden Key International Music Festival and was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall, New York. Jason is also passionate about performing in local churches and aged care homes.

Nicole Li

13 year old Nicole began her piano lessons at age 5 under the tutelage of Ivy Chan and Yoon Sen Lee. She has won more than 20 first prizes in local and international piano competitions.

At age 7, Nicole won her first international prize award at Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition in Austria, and made her first Europe debut at Wiener Saal Mozarteum in Salzburg. At age 9, she also won First Prize at the Global Outstanding Chinese Artists International Piano Competition in Shenzhen China. At age 10, Nicole received First Prize, Prize J.S Bach and the Les Maitres du Piano award at Gagny International Piano Competition in France.

Nicole also won first prizes in many local music festivals and competitions, including Fremantle Eisteddfod, North of Perth Music Festival, West Australian Pianists Competition, South Suburban Music Society Eisteddfod, West Australian Music Teachers Association and etc.

In addition, Nicole has obtained several music qualifications - Pianoforte Certificate of Performance (Distinction) by AMEB (age 9), and Piano Performance Diploma (Distinction) by Conservatoire International De Musique Paris France (age 10), and Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL) Piano Performance Diploma (age 12).

A music scholarship student, Nicole also plays the Chinese instrument Gu Zheng and sings at her school choir. She often performs for local community and school concerts. Her most recent performance was in November 2020 when she performed Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 3 with Fremantle Symphony Orchestra.


Ivan Tan

9 year old Ivan Tan was born in Western Australia on 27 Apr 2012. He started piano lessons at age of 5 under the tutelage of Lawrence Ng and Yoon Sen Lee. Over the past 3 years, he has received various awards at different local and international piano competitions. These include various prizes at the following competitions: Valsesia Musica Juniores International Competition, Fremantle Eisteddfod Australia, South Suburban Music Society Eisteddfod, West Australian Music Teachers Association Competition and Australia International Piano Competition. Ivan also performs regularly in Australia at various concerts including fundraising concerts for bushfires and also at Zhen Jia concert Hall in Guangzhou China in 2019.

Tina Algeri

Tina Algeri was born in Perth, Western Australia and is 16 years of age. She is currently under the tutelage of Mr Yoon Sen Lee. Tina started her musical journey at the age of 5, under the umbrella of Mrs Ivy Chan and Stephanie Huang through Yoon Sen Lee Music School in Perth, Western Australia. After many years of practice, Tina has progressed her skills and taken piano as a serious commitment in her life and desires to take music as her future career.

Tina has entered various local and international competitions and has won many of them including the Fremantle Eisteddfod, South Suburban Music Society, Western Australia Pianist Competition, North of Perth Music Festival and Performing Arts Festival. Some of her first prizes include the Open Championship section from North of Perth music festival, the Under 17 Concerto section, the Under 15 classical section and the Under 15 romantic section from the South Suburban Music Society, the Under 15 Romantic and Recital section in Fremantle Eisteddfod, the Under 15 recital section, Under 18 recital section, Under 18 Piano Concerto Section in the Western Australian Pianist Competition. She also won the Senior Overall Pianist Award in the Western Australian Pianist Competition

In 2016, Tina won first prize in the Golden Key International Music Festival as well as second prize in the American Protégé and performed at Carnegie Hall, New York. During that year, Tina also obtained a music scholarship from St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School.

In 2017, Tina also performed in front of the Governor General in Canberra, Australia. In 2018, Tina entered the 6th Global International Piano Competition held in Shenzhen, China. Tina was invited to compete in Shenzhen in which she won first prize in her age category and was also one of the top 8 honoured pianists who were awarded with a contract giving them the opportunity to perform concerto works with many orchestras or as a soloist building up to the future.

In 2019, Tina won the first prize in the Concours international de piano “Ville de Gagny” competition in Gagny, France. While she was in France, she also completed her Diploma of International Conservatory of Music of Paris in which she received high distinction.

She also performed with the Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra at Qintai Hall, in Wuhan, China in 2019.

Tina participates in many choirs, bands and orchestras within her school and has also achieved Honours A in both her Grade 7 AMEB, and grade 8 AMEB music exam. Tina was awarded a pass with a distinction for her Associate Diploma exam in 2019 as well as a pass in her Licentiate Diploma exam in 2020. She also performs in many concerts in local churches as well as concerts within her school community. She has also completed her LTCL exam with distinction.

Tina has been awarded a scholarship program to have early matriculation for undergraduate part time music studies at the University of Western Australia. Tina Algeri enjoys performing piano amongst large crowds and has always admired the music created by the piano. She wishes to enhance her skills in piano to succeed her musical journey and become a successful concert pianist in the near future.


Cayden Yong

Cayden is 13 years old, and began piano lessons under the tutelage of Ivy Chan when he was six years old and moved to Yoon Sen Lee at the age of 10. He has won many local prizes from local competitions such as South Suburban Music Society Eisteddfod, Fremantle Eisteddfod, North of Perth Music Festival, West Australian Piano Competition, West Australian Music Teachers Association and more. Cayden won his first international competition at 2017 Salzburg Grand Prize Virtuoso in Austria. He also obtained first prize in CCTV Youth Talent Competition from the Australian division.

Cayden completed his grade 6 exam with honours at the age of 9, and completed his grade 8 exam with honours 1 year later. In 2019, Cayden obtained a scholarship from Hale School. He attended Hale School and regularly performs there. Cayden also sings in the intermediate choir and plays viola.
